  • New Homeless Liaison Training for Northeast, Southeast, North Central & Sandhills Regions

    Homeless liaisons with two years or less experience are required to attend this training. This professional development session is designed to build knowledge and capacity in alignment with the provisions of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

  • LEA Needs Assessment Submission

    LEAs are required to submit needs assessments upon the request of the Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) State Coordinator. An updated Homeless Education Program Needs Assessment must be submitted to our office by September 30, 2025. 

  • Northeast Regional Compliance Forum

    All homeless liaisons are required to attend a Compliance Forum annually in their region. This meeting is required to ensure that school districts are in compliance with the McKinney-Vento Act.

  • North Central Regional Compliance Forum

    Compliance Forums are NCHEP’s annual meetings for homeless liaisons to expand their knowledge on the McKinney-Vento Act, as well as develop practices to support the needs of their students experiencing homelessness. All homeless liaisons are required to attend a Compliance Forum annually in their region.
