The ESSA World We Live In: Foster Care-Get Set Up

Child Welfare/Foster Youth session at NAEHCY with Casey Saunders, Moore County Schools

This session will be a discussion based setting where LEA Foster Care Points of Contacts will be able to collaborate on developing a successful foster care program in their own LEA. The session will look at a program model that has shown success in Moore County, NC. It will help Points of Contact identify students who are in foster care, keep track of students academic achievement, and getting them set up with services, as well as, how to develop strong internal and external partnerships to create a successful program, and data collection.
