Homeless Liaison of the Year

Congratulations to Paige Adams, the first recipient of the Charter School Homeless Liaison of the Year award for the 2022-2023 school year. Paige has worked as the Student Resource Coordinator with the North Carolina Virtual Academy since 2016. In addition to working with families experiencing homelessness as the McKinney-Vento Liaison, she also assists students and families in other types of crises, serves as the Foster Care and Migrant Point of Contact (POC), delivers social-emotional programming to middle and high school students, and works to connect families with resources in their area. Paige has supported the North Carolina Homeless Education Program (NCHEP) in many ways during her time on the NCHEP Leadership Team for the past two years. Her work demonstrates a true passion for serving at-risk students, their families, and the school community. Congratulations, Paige!
